UPDATED: Faleke picks APC nomination forms for Tinubu’s re-election
- Ruling party begins sale of forms
From Romanus Ugwu, Abuja
The Member, House of Representatives and founder of Tinubu Support Group, Hon James Faleke, on Tuesday afternoon, took custody of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential expression of interest and nomination forms for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.
Faleke was handed the forms by the officials of the ruling party at the Continental Hotels in Abuja, venue of the ruling party’s sale of the nomination forms ahead of next month’s party primaries.
Interestingly, despite the controversy surrounding the sale of the nomination forms, particularly the speculation that the ruling party had abdicated its responsibility by handing over the forms to the state governors, the exercise finally took off on Tuesday morning.
Although many groups had paid for the nomination forms for President Tinubu, including the government of Kogi State, the forms were officially handed over to Hon Faleke by exactly 1.15 pm.
