"My only advice to young boys coming up that want to rent a house to stay: live below your means. No go dey live above your means. This advice is coming from a place of p@in and ag&ny.

Make you no go cry like me, because this house that I’m currently staying in, I’ve been given a quit notice, and I only have three days left to move out.

I don’t have anywhere to go, and I don’t have any money too. If I had money, I would have renewed the rent.

Since February, my rent expired, and the landlord has been disturbing me, asking, “How far?” Up till this moment, I don’t have a dime to pay. Even feeding is a str&ggle.

I don’t want anyone to pity me. It was my reckless lifestyle that got me here, and the fact that I wanted to live above my means and meet up with society’s standards so they could also regard me as a big boy.

I wish I knew. I would have rented just a self-con. I went to rent a two-bedroom flat, and na only me dey stay there.

When I rented this apartment last year, I quit Yah00. Though it was my only source of income, my future didn’t rhyme with it.

No one should help or pity me, but if someone still offers to assist me, I go thank God..."

- Man shares p@inful lesson after facing eviction, admitting that reckless lifestyle left him unable to renew his rent.

ABSU Suspends Economics Professor Lecturer Over Social Media Post Claiming Keke Riders Earn More Than Professors

The management of Abia State University (ABSU) has suspended a lecturer in the Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics and Management Sciences, Professor Nnamdi Nwaeze, with immediate effect.

The suspension followed social media posts by Nwaeze in which he alleged that some professors at the university earn less than N400,000 monthly.

The lecturer also claimed that the cumulative earnings of some commercial tricycle operators, popularly known as Keke riders, were higher than the salaries of professors at the institution.

Reacting to the posts, the university management said the professor’s comments were “inimical to the interests” of the institution.

The suspension was contained in a statement signed by Chijioke Nwogu, the university’s Public Relations Officer and Deputy Registrar.

The management also disclosed that an investigative panel had been constituted to examine the matter and determine the circumstances surrounding the lecturer’s social media publications.

The university is expected to take further action based on the findings and recommendations of the investigative panel.
