Nigerian entrepreneur hires US lobbying firm for $720,000
Matthew Tonlagha, vice-chairman of Tantita Security Services, has hired a Washington-based lobbying firm for $720,000 to help strengthen US–Nigeria bilateral relations.
A UK court heard that former OPEC president and Nigerian petroleum minister Diezani Alison-Madueke spent about £170,000 (₦325m) in a single day on luxury chairs, lamps, and tables, with more high-value purchases made shortly after, according to prosecutor Sarah Leary.
