Global construction firms converge for Big 5 expo

Construction firms and other industry stakeholders from Europe, Kuwait, Asia, the Middle East and Africa are converging in Lagos for the Big 5 Construct Nigeria Expo, which begins on Tuesday.

The exhibition brings together manufacturers, developers, contractors, consultants, suppliers and technology providers to discuss construction and engineering activities in Nigeria.

Julius Berger Group and some of its subsidiaries are among the companies participating in the expo.

The group’s pavilion features ABUMET Nigeria Limited, PrimeTech Design and Engineering Nigeria Limited, Julius Berger Precast Services, Julius Berger Excellence Centre and its facility management operations.

ABUMET is displaying aluminium and glass products, including its Glass Bridge and Balustrade Star, an Abumet Grid2shell product, aluminium windows, curtain walls, façade systems and other architectural products.

PrimeTech Design and Engineering is exhibiting its architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical engineering services, as well as infrastructure planning, design and master planning.

Julius Berger Precast Services is displaying paving stones, blocks, pipes, drains and other precast concrete products.

The Julius Berger Excellence Centre and the group’s facility management operations are also represented at the exhibition, with services covering property maintenance, facility management and technical support.

The international exhibitors are displaying construction equipment, building technologies, materials and digital solutions at the event.

Representatives of participating Julius Berger subsidiaries said the exhibition would enable them to engage other companies and professionals in the sector, exchange ideas and discuss areas of possible collaboration.

The expo is bringing together companies across different segments of the construction and engineering value chain.
