The Borno State Police Command has apprehended five suspects in possession of 7,871 cartons of ready-to-use therapeutic food (RUTF), items specifically provided for the treatment of malnourished children in the state.

The Command said investigations are ongoing to uncover the source of the stolen items, their intended buyers, and any syndicate involved in the diversion of relief materials meant for vulnerable children.

Authorities assured that the suspects would be charged to court upon completion of investigations, reiterating their commitment to protecting humanitarian supplies and ensuring accountability in the distribution of aid.
