‘We do not suck blood’ – DNKI breaks silence on viral video

The leadership of De Norsemen Kclub International (DNKI) has broken its silence over a viral video allegedly showing ritualistic practices involving blood, firmly dismissing the claims as false, misleading and alien to the organization’s values.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the International President and Skull Executioner of DNKI, Alban Aniekanabasi Paulinus, said the brotherhood does not drink blood, suck blood or engage in any form of cult-related or barbaric practices.
“My attention has been drawn to a video currently circulating on various media platforms where the immediate past Skull Executioner, Chief Chidi Anokwu, was seen handing over a skull-like cup with a horn to one Oliver Patrick, while making statements suggesting blood drinking,” Paulinus said.
“Let me be very clear and unequivocal: De Norsemen Kclub International does NOT drink blood, does NOT suck blood, and has NEVER been a cult.”
The DNKI president stressed that the organization remains a humanitarian, socio-cultural and advocacy group committed to service to humanity, justice, dignity, brotherhood and lawful conduct.
According to him, the statements and actions portrayed in the video are unethical, false, disgraceful and completely at odds with the philosophy, constitution and core beliefs of DNKI.
“Those individuals do not represent DNKI, nor do they speak for this brotherhood in any capacity whatsoever,” he added.
Paulinus also made it clear that no member is above the law within the organization, noting that DNKI is built on discipline, accountability, due process and respect for constituted authority.
To address the controversy, the DNKI leadership has constituted an investigative committee to thoroughly examine the circumstances surrounding the video and make recommendations.
“I urge all well-meaning Norsemen worldwide to remain calm, resolute and law-abiding as we address this matter decisively,” the statement read.
He further assured both members of the organization and the general public that anyone found culpable would face appropriate disciplinary measures without fear or favour, in line with the DNKI constitution.
“DNKI remains a brotherhood of honour, shared values, service and justice, and we will not allow the reckless actions of a few to tarnish our collective integrity,” Paulinus said.
The statement was copied to the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, the founding fathers of the organization and all patrol Skull Executioners nationwide.
The viral video had sparked widespread reactions online, with many questioning the nature and operations of the organization before the DNKI leadership issued its official response.
