The Sole Administrator of Rivers State, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (retd), has lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his swift and stabilizing intervention during the political crisis that engulfed the state earlier this year.

Vice Admiral Ibas made the remarks on Saturday at the grand finale of the 25th anniversary celebrations of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), held in Port Harcourt.According to the retired naval chief, President Tinubu’s timely involvement helped to prevent a deeper political breakdown and restored confidence among stakeholders in the state’s governance structure.

“The President’s intervention was both timely and reassuring. It demonstrated his commitment to peace, stability, and democratic governance in Rivers State and the Niger Delta at large,” Ibas stated.

He commended the NDDC for its resilience and ongoing commitment to regional development over the past 25 years, urging the Commission to stay focused on delivering impactful projects that address the needs of the people.
