In his response, Obi strongly refuted the claims, emphasizing his integrity during his time in office.He stated that by the time he left office, he had left behind ₦36 billion in Nigerian currency and $150 million in foreign reserves for the state. According to him, these funds could have been misappropriated or embezzled if he were corrupt, but he chose to preserve them for the good of the state.
