Oyebanji hails ABUAD on emergence as 84th best varsity globally

Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji, has congratulated the management of Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD) on its 2025 ranking by the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings

The Educational body in its 2025 report announced ABUAD as the 84th best university in the world, 3rd in Africa and 1st in Nigeria for the fourth consecutive year.

The Governor, in a letter, he personally signed and delivered to the proprietor of ABUAD, Aare Afe Babalola(SAN), dated June 26, 2025, and provided to newsmen by the University’s Head of Corporate Affairs, Tunde Olofintila, expressed delight at the 15-year- old university’s lastest global ranking, describing ABUAD as an oasis in the desert.

The letter entitled, CONGRATULATIONS TO ABUAD ON LATEST ACHIEVEMENTS reads:

“Sir, I am so excited to receive the news of the new feat of achievements that your soar-away- university, Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti(ABUAD) has attained in the latest university ranking by the Times Higher Education Impact Assessment which places ABUAD as no 84th position globally, 3rd position in the African continent and first in Nigeria.

“There is no doubt that ABUAD has been an oasis in the desert and a positive influence in the higher education landscape in Nigeria and Africa since its inception. The university is keeping to its vision of being the foremost centre of learning of global reckoning in the African continent.

” I want to therefore congratulate you, the university management and staff on thIs remarkable achievement. It is my prayer that you continue to blaze the trail in all ramifications.”
