Niger Tornadoes have been rewarded with a cash gift of N2 million for their Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, rescheduled matchday 26 victory over Rivers United.

The Sai Masu Gida defeated Rivers United 1-0 at the Bako Kontagora Stadium on Thursday.

Terdoo Shimagande grabbed the goal that earned Niger Tornadoes maximum points in the game.

The players received a cash price of N2 million for the win.

Chairman of the Niger State Sports Commission, Danjuma Abdul Masu, announced the reward after the game.

Niger Tornadoes moved to 10th position in the league table with 39 points from 30 matches

They will take on Abia Warriors in their next league game.
