ABUJA – The Nigerian Embassy in Kuwait has urged Nigerian nationals in Kuwait and Bahrain to remain alert and comply with safety directives from local authorities as tensions escalate in the Middle East.
In a statement posted on the embassy’s official Instagram account on Sunday, Nigerians in both countries were advised to stay calm, follow official announcements from the Kuwaiti and Bahraini governments, and observe all safety guidelines.
The advisory followed a viral video showing Kuwait-based Nigerians reportedly spotting multiple missiles amid the ongoing Iran-Israel conflict.
“In view of the prevailing circumstances in the region, the Embassy wishes to advise all Nigerian nationals in both countries to remain vigilant, adhere to host government advisories, and remain calm at all times,” the circular read.
The embassy also announced it is closely monitoring the situation and maintaining contact with Nigerian community leaders to ensure timely information and support.
To improve communication, the mission created a dedicated mobile and WhatsApp line for inquiries and updates. Nigerians can reach the embassy via email at nigeriakuwait@yahoo.com
or call/WhatsApp +965 9923 8835. A WhatsApp group link was also shared to facilitate coordination and community support.
The advisory comes amid reports that on February 28, the United States and Israel conducted coordinated strikes on Iranian military and leadership targets, reportedly under operations named Operation Epic Fury and Operation Raging Lion.
