Nigerian Army Foils Major Bandit Attack on Ribah Town, Kebbi State.

The 223 Light Battalion of the Nigerian Army, Zuru, has successfully repelled a large-scale attack by armed bandits on Ribah town, located in the Danko Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State.The attempted assault, which occurred on Wednesday, involved over 400 heavily armed bandits who stormed the town in a bid to overrun it.

Acting on timely intelligence and with swift deployment, troops of the 223 Light Battalion engaged the assailants in a fierce gun battle, forcing them to retreat with significant casualties. According to military sources, the gallant efforts of the troops prevented what could have been a devastating attack on innocent residents.

The Army has since intensified patrols in the area to ensure the safety of lives and property. Authorities commend the bravery and professionalism of the soldiers involved and urge residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious movements to the nearest security agency.
