Mr Peter Obi Criticizes Tinubu Over Continued Non-payment of Pensions

Former Labour Party presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, has criticised President Bola Tinubu over the continued non-payment of pensions and gratuities, despite the Federal Government’s claims of meeting its revenue targets.

In a statement posted on his X handle on Wednesday, Obi described it as unjust and insensitive for the government to celebrate revenue growth while pensioners who had diligently served the nation were left in hardship. He warned that the neglect of pensioners could trigger a nationwide protest over unpaid arrears.
