Liverpool’s Harvey Elliot joins Aston Villa on loan

Liverpool midfielder, Harvey Elliott has joined Aston Villa on a season-long loan deal.
Football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano reported that a deal has been agreed between the two Premier League clubs as Elliot is at Villa Park for medicals on transfer deadline day.
The deal includes an obligation for the Midlands club to make the transfer permanent next summer for £35 million.
The 22-year-old England international has struggled for regular playing time under Liverpool manager, Arne Slot.
In June, he vowed to reconsider his Anfield future as he did not want to be “wasting years”.
This season, he has only made a one-minute appearance from the bench in their Premier League game against Newcastle.
German side, RB Leipzig seriously pursued the player’s signing but he ultimately joined Aston Villa in search of more playing time.
Unai Emery’s side have been active as deadline day draws to a close, signing Swedish captain, Victor Linderlof and close to landing Jadon Sancho.
Elliott’s arrival is expected to boost the club’s midfield options as they compete in the Champions League following their fourth-place finish last season.
