Governor Dapo Calls For Stronger Collaboration Between Government, Wealthy Individuals among others to curb poverty
Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has called for stronger collaboration between government, faith-based institutions, wealthy individuals, and corporate organisations to break the cycle of poverty in Nigeria.
The governor made this appeal on Wednesday while delivering a keynote address at the 12th Annual Lecture of the Foursquare Gospel Church, held at Harbour Point, Victoria Island, Lagos, as part of activities marking the Church’s 70th Anniversary.
Speaking on the theme “Poverty Alleviation, Economic Development, and Stability of the Nigerian Economy,” Governor Abiodun stressed that poverty eradication requires a collective effort that goes beyond government interventions, noting that sustainable development can only be achieved when all stakeholders work in partnership.
