Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has approved the appointment of Professor Muazu Usman Shehu as the new Head of the Civil Service of the State.
A statement issued Wednesday by the governor’s spokesman, Ismaila Uba Misilli, said the appointment, which takes immediate effect, was conveyed by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, following the retirement of the former Head of Civil Service, Alhaji Ahmed Kasimu Abdullahi, who exited service upon attaining the mandatory 35 years in public service.
“A seasoned public servant and accomplished academic, Professor Shehu brings to the office vast administrative experience, technical expertise and a strong reform-oriented mindset.
“Until his new appointment, new head of civil service served as Permanent Secretary, General Duties, and Principal Private Secretary (PPS) to the Governor, positions in which he distinguished himself through professionalism, diligence, and exceptional capacity for policy coordination and strategic administration,” the statement said.
