Datti Baba-Ahmed Dismisses Rift Rumours, Affirms Strong Relationship with Peter Obi Ahead of 2027

Dr. Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, former vice-presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), has categorically dismissed speculations of a rift between him and the party’s presidential flag bearer in the 2023 elections, Mr. Peter Obi.In a trending video clip currently circulating on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Dr. Datti reaffirmed the strength and unity of their relationship, stating unequivocally that there is no division between him and Mr. Obi.
“We remain solidly united in purpose, in vision, and in our shared commitment to building a better Nigeria,” Datti declared. “Rumours of political cracks are baseless and should be disregarded by all well-meaning Nigerians.”He emphasized that their alliance remains intact as the Labour Party gears up for the 2027 general elections, with ongoing strategic engagements aimed at strengthening the party’s grassroots support and national presence.
