Speaking during a media interaction organized by the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Zone B – which comprises journalists from the South-West region – Senator Basiru emphasized that Ganduje’s exit should not be misconstrued as a sign of instability within the party.

He stated that the APC remains united and focused on its goals, adding that leadership transitions are normal in any dynamic political organization.

“The resignation of Dr Ganduje does not indicate any form of crisis. The party is intact and fully operational. Our focus remains on delivering good governance and strengthening the party structure nationwide,” Basiru said.

He further reassured party members and the public that the APC is committed to internal democracy and will follow due process in selecting a new chairman.
