ADC Condemned the Suspension and Reinstatement of Fubara of Rivers State by the President

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has condemned the suspension and subsequent reinstatement of Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, describing the move as a dangerous precedent capable of undermining Nigeria’s democracy.

The party faulted President Bola Tinubu’s handling of the political crisis in Rivers State, warning that the development threatens constitutional governance and risks eroding the balance of power between the federal and state governments.

According to the ADC, such actions not only weaken democratic institutions but also embolden federal overreach, with grave consequences for Nigeria’s fragile democratic framework.
