Nigeria will face Rwanda in a 2026 World Cup qualifier on Saturday evening, hoping to keep their dreams alive.

South Africa’s lead in Group C tightened following Friday’s results.

Goals from Mohau Nkota, Lyle Foster, and Oswin Appollis gave Bafana Bafana all three points.

They now have a tally of 16 points, seven more than second-placed Benin Republic, which has 11 points. Rwanda are on eight points.

Nigeria is in fourth place with seven points.

The game against Rwanda is indeed make-or-break for the Super Eagles, as their dreams continue to fade.

Eric Chelle’s men must pick up maximum points against the Amavubis at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.

Calvin Bassey will likely partner Captain William Troost-Ekong in central defence, while Chelle might pick Ademola Lookman in attack, despite his lack of minutes this season.

Victor Boniface, Umar Sadiq and Taiwo Awoniyi are not part of the squad for this crucial match.
