The Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria (DICON) has confirmed an explosion at its Ordnance Factory Disposal Pit in Kaduna, which claimed the life of one person and left several others injured.Earlier reports suggested that two workers, including a military officer, had died in the incident.

However, DICON clarified that only one fatality was recorded, while those injured are receiving medical attention.The corporation assured the public that investigations have commenced to determine the cause of the explosion, adding that safety measures at the facility are being reviewed to prevent future occurrences.
